Armed men arrested
Police Control Room staff nabbed two armed men in Nand Nagri on Thursday night. They have been identified as Rohit, a resident of West Jyoti Nagar, and Virender, a resident of Ashok Nagar. The police claim to have recovered one country-made revolver, one live cartridge and one iron rod from them. The men were in an autorickshaw when they were stopped.

Youth held for stabbing man
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on the charge of attempted murder. Sonu, a worker in a garments factory in Gandhi Nagar, and Ravi Shankar (30), who irons clothes in the same factory, got into an argument on Wednesday. Following this, Sonu allegedly stabbed Shankar in the neck with a pair of scissors. Shankar is at the LNJP Hospital.

Man held for kin’s murder
A fight over a drain is said to have led to the death of Mobin in Hauz Qasi on Thursday. Mobin and his brother Farid Ahmed (35), apparently had a fight over the sewer line running out of their residence. Ahmed punched his brother a couple of times. Mobin, a heart patient, was taken to hospital with external bruises but was declared dead on arrival.
