The murder of a 24-year-old poetess, Madhumita Shukla, at her residence in Lucknow last evening is set to give some politicians sleepless nights. Police said they have recovered a phone diary from the scene of the murder that has names and phone numbers of politicians and two journalists.Shukla was shot dead by two persons last evening, police said. The autopsy report has confirmed the deceased, who was unmarried, was in her sixth month of pregnanc, they added. The diary reportedly reveals Shukla’s links with politicians and journalists. Phone numbers of a mafia don, now a BSP minister of state, are also listed in the diary, say police.
