PANCHKULA, Oct 12: The Panchkula police are yet to make arrests into the reported theft of electronic goods some days ago from a shop in Chandimandir.

Sanjay Dhania, a resident of Panchkula, who runs a shop in Chandimandir Cantonment had reported to the police that electronic goods worth about Rs 40,000 had been stolen from his shop. In his FIR lodged with the Chandimandir Police Station on September 29, he had alleged that one of his employees, whom he fired some time back, was behind the theft. Sources say that a Military Police dog squad pressed into service after the suspect had been named by the shop-owner had sniffed the accused, but the district police are yet to take any action on the grounds that “it is not concrete evidence”.
