Princess Caroline of Monaco and German Prince Ernst August of Hanover will get married in the principality, reliable sources said. Ernst August and Caroline have been romantically linked since before the German aristocrat separated in October 1997 from his wife, the daughter of a Swiss millionaire, after 16 years of marriage. RTL radio said, Prince Rainier, Caroline’s father, “informed French President Jacques Chirac early this week of the upcoming marriage of his oldest daughter Caroline with Ernst August of Hanover”. The existence of a letter by Rainier to the French President confirming the marriage was confirmed by reliable sources. A marriage between the two had been rumored for some time. Ernst August and Caroline — who was divorced after a first marriage and widowed after a second to the son of an Italian industrialist — both attended the 23rd international circus festival in Monte Carlo on January 16, along with her father, her sister Stephanie and her brother Albert, heir to the throne.

“Beingmarried to James Cameron was a titanically miserable experience.” So says actress Linda Hamilton, who filed for divorce from the director of Titanic and The Terminator after nearly eight years of marriage. “I wanted to be the one to do the final destructive act. It’s an important thing for me personally not to feel like the victim,” Hamilton said in the USA Today. Hamilton said that even at last year’s academy awards — when Cameron’s Titanic won 11 trophies and he shouted, `I’m the king of the world’ — “he was still an absolutely miserable, miserable, unhappy man.” She said the two had nothing in common except their six-year-old daughter.
