  • In an unprecedented action, President K R Narayanan today virtually sought the removal of Bhandari. Informed sources said here tonight the President has sent a letter to Prime Minister Gujral mentioning several “controversial” actions of the Governor and sought his considered opinion on whether Bhandari should be allowed to continue in office.(As reported by The Indian Express yesterday, President has been seeking PM’s word on the issue)
