John Miller,the CBS News correspondent has formally resigned to rejoin the New York Police Department.

John Miller,the CBS News correspondent behind a heavily criticised 60 minutes report on the National Security Agencys domestic spying programme,has formally resigned to rejoin the New York Police Department. Miller has moved back and forth from journalism to law enforcement throughout his career. Hes returning to the NYPD at the behest of his former boss William Bratton,who has been named New York City police commissioner.
