Hong Kong crashed to an embarrassing 10-wicket defeat to Bangladesh at the Asian Games on Sunday after being bowled out for just 25,believed to be the lowest total for a women's Twenty20 match. Hong Kong suffered seven run outs before Bangladesh knocked off the required runs in only the fourth over. According to International Cricket Council statistics,the lowest previous international women's Twenty20 total involving senior countries was Pakistan's 60 against England at Taunton in the 2009 world championship. "We are a young team and we can take some positives from this match," insisted Hong Kong player Li Kai Ling. "We will improve in the future in a lot of aspects of the sport and get closer to the stronger teams in the world." Li said her team's suicidal running between the wickets could have been caused by the atmospshere in the stadium,even though the arena attracted just a smattering of spectators. "I don't think my teammates could hear the calls from each other. The noise in the stadium may have been a factor." Bangladesh refused to get carried away by their crushing triumph,preferring to concentrate on their next game against Japan. Japan are a new team but we have played them before. I think we are better than them in every aspect," said Shatita Jesy. Earlier on Sunday,Thailand were dismissed for 49 in their eight-wicket loss to Pakistan in a Group A match in Guangzhou.
