Irfan Pathan has been named as a replacement for an injured Ranganath Vinay Kumar for the forthcoming limited over series against Sri Lanka starting July 21. According to the media release issued by BCCI,R. Vinay Kumar has suffered a Grade I right hamstring injury while training on 12th July,2012. Hence He will not be available for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. He is expected to regain match-fitness in three weeks. Irfan was not a part of the original squad but will now get a chance to consolidate his position in the team.
