Jason Statham to join ‘The Fast and the Furious’ sequels

The sixth instalment which is rumoured to be called 'Fast 6' is currently still in early phase of pre-production.

‘The Transporter’ actor Jason Statham will reportedly join the cast of ‘The Fast and the Furious’ movie franchise.

The 44-year-old will join Vin Diesel,Paul Walker and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in the movie by Universal Pictures which is currently looking for a new suitable actor for the untitled Fast and Furious 6 and 7 projects,reported Aceshowbiz.

The sixth instalment which is rumoured to be called ‘Fast 6’ is currently still in early phase of pre-production.

The project is scheduled to kick off the filming in Europe in 2012,but it has recently been reported that director Justin Lin bowed out the project due to scheduling conflict. The screenplay will be written by Chris Morgan.
