Jeev tied 6th after Rd3 of Hong Kong Open

Englishman Ian Poulter (64) continued to lead the pack with a total of 19-under 191.

Indian golfer Jeev Milkha Singh turned in a flawless four-under 66 but still ended up dropping a rung to be tied sixth after the third and penultimate round of the UBS Hong Kong Open here on Saturday.

The seasoned pro sent down four birdies — three of them in the front nine — to take his three-day total to 14-under 196.

“I’m happy with the round. Played really solid,hit 17 out of 18 greens,and I think the one I missed,I used the putter there,too. I’m pretty happy with my ball-striking,” Jeev said after the round.

“Thought I would make a lot of birdies on the back because that’s the scoring nine,but I guess I made it up on front nine. I shot three-under on the front and on the back I shot one-under for four-under. I shot bogey-free round pretty happy,” he added.

Among other Indians,SSP Chowrasia (68) was tied for the 36th spot with a total of five-under 205 after managing four birdies against a couple of bogeys.

Sharing that position with him was Gaganjeet Bhullar,who returned a 69,which comprised of four birdies and three bogeys.
