Milla Jovovich,one of Hollywood's leading action heroines whos worked in films such as Resident Evil and its three sequels,will now be portraying the role of the evil Milady De Winter in a new film version of The Three Musketeers. For me Milady was a woman of mystery,'' the 35-year-old Jovovich says. No one knew exactly what she was going to do next. She gave the boys a run for their money. I definitely related more to her than to the musketeers,even as a kid. Not the murdering,of course,but I always had this feeling that she was like every smart career woman Id ever met,but stuck in the wrong century. Besides Jovovich,it features Luke Evans,Matthew Macfadyen and Ray Stevenson as the musketeers and Orlando Bloom plays the Duke of Buckingham. Anonymous,a historical film explores the controversial notion that the plays attributed to William Shakespeare were actually written by Edward de Vere,the 17th Earl of Oxford. The action is set in and around the court of Elizabeth I,spanning decades of her reign and tracing her evolution from a young,fervent woman of passion into an older and more fragile monarch. Anonymous,takes up the theory that de Vere wrote the Shakespeare canon and Shakespeare was simply an actor paid to masquerade as the author of de Veres works. This ruse,the theory holds,allowed de Vere,a supporter of the Earl of Essexs claim to succession to the throne,to write works critical of King James of Scotland,the official heir to Elizabeth,while remaining on good terms with her and with James advocates in the court. Rowan Atkinson,the actor and comedian returns to action as the well-meaning-but-bumbling MI-7 agent in Johnny English Reborn,eight years after the surprise success of the spy spoof Johnny English (2003). Johnny English Reborn finds the disgraced spy training at a monastery in the remotest part of Asia when hes recalled by MI-7 to protect Chinas premier from a threatened assassination. Apart from the obvious commercial logic of making a sequel to anything,56-year-old Atkinson says,the goal should be to do something different and/or better. Johnny English Reborn is both,he believes,because its more sophisticated,with a mission and story that are more credible than was the case in the original film.
