Man arrested for luring youngsters on pretext of IPL jobs

The action came on a complaint by Hanney Bassi,a BCA student of final year,who said he was told that fares and accommodation will be provided free of cost and daily stipend would be Rs. 1,000 for people selected.

“So as to win the confidence of job seekers,he used to give one postdated signed cheque of Rs. 1,000/- from his bank account,” police said.

Tempted by the opportunity,many unemployed young people made an investment of Rs 1,000 each with Juneja.

On March 26,a few people came to know that he has vacated his earlier accommodation and continued to track him and finally intercepted him at Connaught Place.

“Once he was apprehended,he was asked to produce any authorisation or any contract by the IPL. During sustained interrogation,he admitted that he has no contract or liaison

with IPL authorities,” a police official said.
