Michael Clarke splashes out on rural love nest

Oz captain has already bought a Bondi Beach apartment from a mate for $6 million.

After paying through the nose for the fishbowl Bondi Beach apartment he bought from a mate for 6 million dollars back in 2009,Michael Clarke has apparently learnt much about negotiating a good deal with property dealers in intervening years.

The cricket captain and his new bride Kyly Boldy recently exchanged on a magnificent 93ha estate at Berrima,paying 3.25 million dollars for the four-bedroom house,land,fenced cricket pitch,tennis court and equestrian centre. The house sold for 4.125 million dollars in 2006,the Daily Telegraph reported.

The magnificent homestead is understood to also feature a boathouse on a private lake.

The Clarkes will have to wait another six weeks before they can move in to the Berrima spread but are planning to use the home as a holiday retreat,keeping their Lilli Pilli mansion as their primary residence.

Sources say the head-over-heels cricket captain bought the house for his wife as a wedding gift.
