Pak jet crashes,pilot killed

A Chinese-built Pakistani fighter jet crashed on Wednesday during a routine training mission,killing its pilot instantly.

A Chinese-built Pakistani fighter jet crashed on Wednesday during a routine training mission,killing its pilot instantly.

The F-6 jet crashed south of Attock city in Pubjab province. The pilot,Flight Lt Sheharyar Nisar,was killed instantly.

There was no loss of life or property on the ground,an official statement said. A board of inquiry was set up to probe the crash,the air force said in a statement.

Pakistan’s air force has a fleet of Chinese aircraft,including F-7s,A-5s,US-made F-16s and French Mirages. It recently acquired JF-17,manufactured jointly with China.
