Nick Percat of Australia held his lead throughout the 10-lap race to take the chequered flag in the MRF Delhi Championship,a support race for the Formula One Indian Grand Prix at the Buddh International Circuit.
Jordan King and Alice Powell of Great Britain took the second and third spots respectively.
Zaamin Jaffer was the fastest among the Indians,finishing sixth with a timing of 21:26.486. Gaurav Gill finished seventh,clocking 21:27.147.
Starting from pole position,Percat amply demonstrated his skill and mastery over the circuit as he led from pole,gradually increasing his lead and then making it substantial,to win the first round.
Percat clocked 20:58.590 while King and Powell completed the race with a timing of 21:04.796 and 21:07.203 respectively.
