After filing a 12,000-page reply to BCCIs show-cause notice, suspended IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi on Saturday said his voluminous response contained all answers to the false allegations against him. When anyone is falsely accused it is their duty to respond and not react, Modi tweeted. So one responds by making all that is true available. That is what I did. It may be long. But it is there for all to see now.
Modi filed his reply through lawyer Mehmood Abdi, who handed over six cartons of papers to BCCI chief administrative officer Ratnakar Shetty at the Boards Mumbai headquarters.
All I have to say is I have replied in complete details to all charges even though there was no complaints, but as if there was, he said. Modi also said he will hold a press conference at an appropriate time and will soon reply to the second show-cause notice.
Its best to allow my colleagues time to go through my reply. We spent weeks putting it, he wrote.
Meanwhile,in Mumbai his lawyer Abdi said BCCI may be given another set of papers,if required. We have reserved the right to produce another voluminous set of papers which may run into 37,000 to 45,000 pages, he said. It will have the trail of emails of the institutions and authorities who matter,if required.
