Mohammed Hafeezs half-century guided Pakistan to 144/2 in reply to South Africas 380 on the second day of the first Test in Dubai on Saturday. Opener Hafeez slammed 60 off 89 balls as Pakistan ended the day 236 runs behind. Earlier,South Africas first innings ended soon after lunch when off-spinner Saeed Ajmal trapped Morkel leg before for 10. Umar Gul and left-arm spinner Abdur Rehman claimed three wickets each.

United draw at Villa

Gangjee tied 14th

Rahil Gangjee was the lone Indian golfer to break par with a two-under 69 and rise 12 rungs to tied 14th after the third round of the Singapore Open. Gangjee totals seven-under 206. A couple of strokes behind Gangjee was Jeev Milkha Singh,who carded a three-over 74. Adam Scott closed in on a third Singapore Open title with a two-under to aggregate 14-under
