UAE-based businessman thanks Indian govt for Padma Shri

A UAE-based businessman of Indian origin,awarded with Padma Sri this year for his contribution to business,has expressed his commitment to the people of India.

A UAE-based businessman of Indian origin,awarded with Padma Sri this year for his contribution to business,has expressed his commitment to the people of India.

“I am very humbled by this exceptional appreciation of my work not only in terms of the achievements of the Al Fara’a Integrated Construction Group but also in our organisation’s significant impact in the enrichment of the India-UAE relations,” said J R Gangaramani.

Gangaramani is the president and executive chairman of the UAE’s Al Fara’a Integrated Construction Group.

“I would like to express my deepest thanks to the Government of India for the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman and now Padma Shri Award,which inspired me even further in my endeavours.

“This award only adds fuel to my burning resolve to make a striking impact on the lives of my employees,their families and the entire Indian community in the UAE,” he said.

Gangaramani is the fifth Indian-origin UAE resident to receive this award. He was conferred with ‘Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award’ last year.

He said: “I wish to extend my sincerest gratitude to the rulers of the UAE for their economic wisdom in creating an environment conducive to realising one’s dreams. I remain fully committed to serving the people of the UAE and India.”
