ISLAMABAD, June 12: The alleged deployment of Prithvi missiles by India and violation of Pakistan’s airspace would have a bearing on the forthcoming foreign secretary level talks between the two countries, Foreign Minister Gohar Ayub Khan said today.

“These developments unnecessarily created tension in Pakistan and would have a bearing on the forthcoming foreign secretary level talks between the two countries later this month,” he said.

Meanwhile, New Delhi today rejected Gohar Khan’s insinuation about “mixed signals” creating “unnecessary” tension in Islamabad.

An External Affairs Ministry spokesman said,“We have already made our position clear in respect of all these allegations.”
