PANCHKULA, Jan 28: The District Magistrate today banned carrying and keeping of weapons in public places in wake of the Lok Sabha elections. The order will be effective for eight weeks, beginning January 20. All magistrates and police officers (SHOs and above) have been authorised to search for and confiscate weapons.
