Protesting teachers conduct classes in park

CHENNAI, July 22: As many as 120 teachers of the Ramakrishna Mission school, north branch, turned up at the Panagal Park in T.Nagar to take classes for scores of students. The school has remained closed for three weeks now. The management had decided to merge the school with the south branch on Burkit Road, T.Nagar, citing declining strength. However, the teachers of the school took to protest stating that this would lead to lesser promotion opportunities for them.
