CHANDIGARH, Oct 30: The Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority will float a scheme for allotment of residential plots on free-hold basis at Samrala road in Ludhiana.
The scheme will open on November 2 and close on December 1. The size of plots for Sector 32-A Urban Estate varies between 100 square yards and 200 sq yds. As per the break-up available from the PUDA office in Sector 17, 12 plots of 200 sq yds, 18 of 150, 19 of 125 and 29 of 100 sq yds will be sold at tentative prices
Those applicants who are interested in owning residential plots in Ludhiana can apply on a prescribed application form available at designated banks in Mohali, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Bathinda, Ludhiana, Patiala, Nawanshahr and Chandigarh on cash payment of Rs 100 or through a bank draft of Rs 125 in favour of Estate Officer, PUDA, Ludhiana.
The applications should be accompanied by the bank draft of refundable earnest money of 10 per cent of the tentative cost of each plot.
Those applicants, who applied earlier, can apply afresh if they fulfill eligibility criteria laid down by the PUDA, a senior PUDA official said.
He said that allotment of plots to eligible applicants will be made after proper scrutiny by draw of lots, the date for which will be announced within six months from the date of closing of the scheme.
