Defaulters lose supply
Taking serious note of the rising list of defaulters, the PMC’s water supply department has severed the connections of 94 establishments and houses for having failed to pay the water tax.

Municipal Commissioner Rajiv Agarwal said in a press statement that the authorities had been thinking of disconnecting the water lines or initiating penal actions against those who had not paid the water tax.

Agarwal said the PMC had cut off the supply of 94 houses and establishments till February 15 while arrears of Rs 2.40 crore have been recovered. He appealed to the defaulting citizens to pay the water tax without delay to avoid further action.
