Queries and e-mails wishing a quick recovery to billiards player Wilson Jones continue to pour in since The Indian Express highlighted the plight of India’s first world champion. Monetary aid has also been pouring in. Here’s a fresh list of major contributors:

• Sports Authority of India, Delhi, has announced aid of Rs 40,000.

• Former world billiards champion Michael Ferreira has collected Rs 27,000 from Nagpur. The break-up: Farokh Shapoorji, industrialist Rs 21,000; Gondwana Club Rs 5,000; Ferreira Rs 5,000; a well-wisher Rs 1,000.

• Member of Parliament Beatrix D’Souza has sent a cheque of Rs 10,000

• Karsondhas Vissanji Trust has sent aid of Rs 25,000

• Former cricketer Ravi Shastri and wife Ritu sent Rs 25,000

• CM Sushil Kumar Shinde sanctioned Rs 1 lakh, sent directly to the hospital

Letters have also been coming in.
