Bid on Army HQ
SRINAGAR: Militants fired rockets towards the Army’s 15 Corp headquarters here late last night. The rockets, however, missed the target and fell at the nearby hills. The Army also repulsed a major attack on two forward posts in Chamb sector.
Ship sinks
TUTICORIN: A cargo vessel carrying about 250 tonnes of onion and potato has reportedly sunk about 50 km off the port here on Saturday noon. However, 12 persons aboard the vessel are safe. The vessel had sunk following engine failure and a small hole.
6 killed in blast
GUWAHATI: Six members of a family, including three women, were killed in a bomb blast in Upper Assam’s Sibsagar district on Sunday.
