Heat toll 2,400
NEW DELHI: Mercury inched lower giving the people much-needed respite even as scorching heat claimed four more lives pushing the country-wide toll this summer to 2,421 today. Four people died last night in West Bengal’s Midnapore district where over 300 people, including 50 students, were admitted to hospitals and health centres for sunstroke treatment. Temperatures slid in Orissa, Tamil Nadu and other parts of the country with weather office forecasting scattered rains in north India.

MUMBAI: Indian Airlines will suspend its daily A-320 flight IC-635/636 between Mumbai and Bhavnagar from June 9-23 due to repairs being undertaken to the runway in Bhavnagar. The airline expects to resume its scheduled operations from June 24, an IA spokesperson said.
