Criminals linked to Dawood held
NEW DELHI: THE Delhi police on Tuesday said they had arrested two criminals with links to Dubai-based underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and a nexus with para-military forces for procuring arms and ammunition. The accused, Bahadur Rehmani and Mohammed Naim Khan, were arrested by a team of Crime Branch following a tip-off, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Karnal Singh said.

Nuclear reactor
KALPAKKAM: INDIAN scientists are setting up a second nuclear reactor based on fuel extracted from Kerala’s beach sands. The first one, Kamini, is at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research at Kalpakkam. The new reactor is to be set up at Andhra University in Visakhapatnam for use by universities and the industry.
Car crash arrest
NEW DELHI: Sanjeev Nanda, oneof the three youths who drove a BMW into five persons in an inebriated state, killing three policemen here on Sunday, was today remanded to judicial custody till January 16.
