
HC stays CAT order on Cabinet Secy
NEW DELHI: Cabinet Secretary T S R Subramanian today resumed office after a gap of three days as the Delhi High Court stayed the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) order quashing the three-month extension given to him by the Gujral Government. A Special Bench comprising Justice Vijender Jain and Justice S K Mahajan, stayed operation of Friday’s CAT order holding that prima facie the Tribunal had no jurisdiction to entertain a petition from a non-aggrieved person.
Parikh to quit
GANDHINAGAR: Gujarat Chief Minister Dilip Parikh would submit his resignation to the Governor Krishnapal Singh on Monday. Parikh today told PTI that he would submit his resignation after the cabinet meeting the same day.

PANAJI: Direct train services from Margao (Goa) to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) Mumbai and back would begin operating from January 26 next. The Mumbai-Sawantwadi Express would be extended to Margao , sources said here today.
