Surat normal, curfew relaxed

SURAT: One person succumbed to bullet injuries in a hospital here on Sunday even as the violence-torn areas of mini Saurashtra, Varacha, Kattargam and Kapodra in the eastern part of the city returned to normalcy. Earlier, an indefinite curfew clamped in some parts of the city following sporadic violence since January one, was relaxed from 11 am yesterday.

NAGPUR: Rail traffic between Mumbai-Nagpur, Delhi, Calcutta and Varanasi was disrupted today following the

derailment of 30 empty wagons of a goods train at Bhadli on Jalgaon-Bhusawal section of the Central Railway. Both up and down lines were blocked and several trains have been rescheduled.
