MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has enhanced the ceiling on the maximum amount of foreign exchange that can be released by authorised foreign exchange dealers to Indians going abroad to US $ 3,000 from $ 2,000 for basic travel quota, and US $ 2,500 for people going abroad for employment purposes.

Nanda turns 100

Phalke for Ganesan

NEW DELHI: Legendary Tamil actor Sivaji Ganesan was today nominated for the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke award for 1996 for his outstanding contribution to the growth of Indian cinema. Ganesan has acted in over 280 Tamil films in a span of 41 years. The award, which will be presented by the President.
