NEW DELHI: Delhi police today rescued Tarun Puri, the 10- year-old son of a city businessman, who was kidnapped on July 22. Tarun was found in Bahadurgarh Khera village in Meerut district of UP. Six persons, including a trusted aide of the Puri family and a UP police constable, have been arrested for their involvement in the abduction.

Station masters’ stir

JALGAON: The All India Railway Station Masters’ Association will observe a day’s countrywide strike tomorrow in protest against some recommendations of the fifth pay commission.

The association is unhappy over the stance taken by the government towards their various demands.

Bengal landslide

SILIGURI: A 15-year-old boy was injured and about 30 houses were damaged in the second spell of landslide in the Darjeeling hills today. The landslide was spread over an area of one kilometre and blocked an arterial road.
