The Congress-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance government is treading carefully on the demand to review the state’s reservation policy. The Khasi and Jaintia communities have been putting pressure on the government to review the 1972 policy for a bigger share in the job quota.Recently, 10 legislators from the Khasi and Jaintia Hills had submitted a representation to Chief Minister D.D. Lapang in this regard.
