CHANDGIARH, Dec 22: Rahul Dahiya’s unbeaten knock of 40 runs and Aurua Kapoor fine spell of 4 for 3 helped John’s Yellow to score 8 wickets win over John’s Blue in the St John’s High School Inter-House cricket tournament held at school ground in Sector 26 today.

In another match John’s Red beat John’s Yellow by three wickets.

Brief Scores: John’s Blue: 125 for 7 in 20 overs (Manu Dhingra 35 n.o, Ajay Paul 17, Shikar 12 n.o., Siddharth Chauhan 3 for 9); John’s Yellow: 129 for 2 in 16.3 overs (Rahul Dahiya 40 n.o., Satinder 28).

John’s Red: 133 for 7 in 22.5 overs (Harjot 30, Udai Karan 28 n.o, Niranjan 3 for 6, Abhay Mohan 2 for 17); John’s Green: 130 (Abhay Mohan 28, Saurav Talwar 18, Norbert 13, Aurua Kapoor 4 for 3, Mukul 2 for 16, Animesh 2 for 19).

Carrom team
A six-member Chandigarh carrom team will take part in the 37th Junior National and Inter-State carrom championships to be held at Vadodara from Gurjarat from December 25 to 29.

According to a press release of the Chandigarh Carrom association the team members are — Gagandeep, Nabhi Sahni, Baninder Singh, Vishal, Puneet Lamba and Harneet.

KS Patwal and Diwan Singh Aithani will accompany the team as officials.
