Rail tickets on the Net

NAGPUR, Feb 3: Net has the rail in its ever-increasing web now. Passengers can now get accommodation for trains for any destination from any counter of the computerised reservation system at Nagpur railway station.

The new system would reduce inconvenience to passengers who till now were made to line up at assigned counters for making reservations. As per the new system, passengers can now get ticket for any station except from the Chennai terminal, a Central Railway press release has said. The facility would soon be extended for Chennai terminal too, the press release adds.

Besides Nagpur the facility has also been made available at Ajni, Itwari, Wardha, Chandrapur and Ballarshah railway stations. The facility was launched at Nagpur Railway Station on January 31 and accommodation for trains leaving on the day and thereafter was provided through this facility.
