
The Howrah police busted an interstate racket dealing in forged question papers of the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) and arrested three youths from a hotel in Howrah on Saturday morning.
The accused were later produced in a court in Howrah and remanded in police custody for five days.
The arrested are —-Manish Kumar, a resident of Guddapur in Jharkhand, Bikas Shaw of Rajballav Saha Lane in Howrah and Jibananda Prasad, a resident of Konnagar in Hooghly.

Earlier, the RRB had lodged a complaint with the vigilance department and the police about the racket thriving in and around Howrah.
The police got a specific lead that the accused were staying at the Ashoka Hotel in Howrah and selling forged question papers for the examination.
Subsequently, a police team raided the hotel, arrested the accused and recovered forged question papers from them.
The trio was selling question papers to candidates appearing for Sunday’s examination, said a police officer. “The accused have been running the racket for the last 10 years in West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand,” said a police officer. “We are also probing the involvement of any railway official in the racket,” said an officer of the Golabari police station.
