CHANDIGARH, May 12: Despite a marginal increase in day’s temperature, the city residents woke up to a pleasant spectacle of a clouded sky. As sun broke through the clouds during the day, a grey sky and a light drizzle in the evening drew a sigh of relief from the residents.

Although temperature during the day was recorded as 35 degree Celsius, two degrees below normal, grey sky kept the spirits of the residents high. A dust storm in the evening, recorded at the wind speed of 40 knots, was also experienced in the city and its satellite towns. As the storm gathered momentum, visibility considerably dropped, the high velocity wind forcing two wheelers to pull up at the roadside.

Light drizzle was welcomed by all as was apparent from the market place which was far more crowded than the normal hot days.
