PUNE, Oct 5: Heavy rain and an uprooted tree disrupted power supply in the twin township of Pimpri-Chinchwad on Sunday.
A huge tree crashed onto a 22 KV line at the SKF colony, resulting in disruption of power supply to major industrial units. A technical snag at link road affected power supply in several residential areas in the afternoon. Power supply was finally restored at around 7.30 p.m. The fire-brigade of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation reported two incidents of uprooting of trees near Annasaheb Magar stadium and at Rupeenagar.
