NEW DELHI, January 7: Delhi Gymkhana, aided by an unbeaten 80 by Rajan, helped Delhi Development Authority by seven wickets in the A div DDCA League match at the Kotla ground on Wednesday.

Rajan’s knock contained 6 fours and 2 sixes. He was well supported by Prabhjeet Johar, who scored 43 runs inclusive of 4 fours.

DDA: 162 for 9 in 40 overs (Kapil Bhushan 55 n.o, Naveen Chopra 4 for 31).

Delhi Gymkhana: 163 for 3 in 29.1 overs (Rajan 80 n.o, Prabjeet Johar 43).

In a group D match, Delhi Telecom prevailed over Syndicate Bank by seven wickets.

Syndicate Bank: 175 in 38.2 overs (Rajeev Kumar 54, Rajender Ahir 3 for 31, N.P.Narang 2 for 24).

Delhi Telecom: 177 for 3 in 33.2 overs (Dharmender Singh 38 n.o, Vinay Mishra 47).

Ganesh to lead

NEW DELHI: Left-handed Ganesh Ahuja, a former national sub-junior champion and Rekha Sehgal (both from Sirsa) will lead Haryana’s men’s and women’s teams, respectively in the 59th Senior National and Inter-State Table Tennis Championships to be held at Jammu from January 14 to 20.

M P Singh, secretary of Haryana Table Tennis Association, will accompany the team as manager-cum-delegate while Trilochan Singh and Mohinder Khanna will be team coaches.

Men: Ganesh Ahuja (Sirsa), Nalin Somani (HSEB), Janinder Jain, Anoop (both Faridabad), Varinder Rana (Sonepat).

Women: Rekha Sehgal (Sirsa), Bhavana (Rohtak), Monika (Sirsa), Shweta, Poonam (both Faridabad), Neeru Bhamri (Pkl).
