Rajasthan government has announced sops for farmers under the new agricultural electricity connection policy and reduced power tariffs.
After negotiations between Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia and the Bhartiya Kisan Sangh, a relaxation of Rs 1,000 has been given in the general category connection for a 10 HP connection, an official release said here on Sunday. The new policy is being implemented with immediate effect barring Nagaur and Alwar where bypoll was underway.
The clause of minimum Rs 25,000 for five HP and Rs 15,000 on three HP connection has been abolished. —(PTI)
