NEW DELHI, Dec 4: Lady Sriram College, represented by Ekta Bhambri, Ishani Barua, Nidhi Bhardwaj (captain) and Bhumika Bansal, trounced St. Stephen’s College 3-0 in the women’s team championship final of the Sixth Miranda House Inter-College Table Tennis Tournament.
Hosts Miranda House secured third position. Rajiv Ghai of Sriram College of Commerce annexed men’s singles title defeating Inder Mohan of Khalsa College after a well contested four games. Ghai won 21-18, 21-15, 20-22, 21-12. In women’s singles final, Ekta Bhambri, a Delhi State player, beat collegemate Ishani Barua 21-18, 21-18, 21-14 while Ravjeet Kaur of St. Stephen’s College secured third position. The mixed doubles title was won by Inder Mohan of Khalsa College and Ishani Barua of Lady Sriram College.
