L’affaire Sivasubramaniam seems to be inching towards its logical climax. Tamil Nadu police are now seeking to implicate Nakkeeran publisher R.R. Gopal in the Rajkumar abduction episode. Police served a summons on Tuesday on Gopal informing him that he had been included as an accused in the Rajkumar case, lawyer P.P. Mohan, who represents Nakkeeran daily, said.

Gopal has been asked to surrender before the Sathyamangalam judicial magistrate within ten days. The notice by Bangalapudur police inspector also asked him to present himself daily at Thalavadi police station for 15 days. Mohan said this was contrary to assurances made by both Tamil Nadu and Karnataka that no summons would be served either on Gopal or any other member of his team.
