Pradipta Ghosh is the new Environment Secretary in place of K.C. Mishra who is currently in a soup over the Taj corridor controversy. According to an official announcement, R.M. Premkumar has been posted as the chairman of the Food Corporation of India. He replaces A.M. Gokhale who has been moved as Secretary in the Ministry of Non-conventional Energy Sources.Present secretary in Non-conventional Energy Sources A.V. Singh has been transferred to the same post in Road Transport and Highways Ministry. He takes over from Ashok Joshi who retires this month-end. Special Secretary in the Ministry of Environment and Forests Navin B. Chawala has been posted as Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, in place of Wajahat Habibullah who proceeds on leave. P.C. Rawal, Additional Secretary, DoT, replaces Premkumar as Secretary, National Commission of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Neena Ranjan, Director-General Supply and Disposals in the Department of Commerce, has been made Secretary, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs.
