CHANDIGARH, July 17: Himachal Ranji player Richie Kapoor has been showing signs of early season form for Barnsley Club in the Yorkshire League cricket in UK, according to a message received here.
He starred in his club’s maiden win of the season against Cleethorpes with an unbeaten knock of 63 (70 balls). The next match saw Richie hammer a ton (118; 112 balls) though Barnsley Club lost to Sheffield Collegiate. He scored yet another century (111 n.o.) in his club’s next game and this time the knock was enough to propel his club to a thrilling win over Sprotbourgh Club. He showed his all round talent, claiming two wickets as well. Richie had done well last season also, prompting the Barnsley Club authorities to renew his contract for this season.
