The Raj Bhawan here is flooded with complaints of forcible seizure of buses, trucks and cars by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) activists for transporting people to the ‘‘lathi’’ rally, scheduled for April 30.

A Raj Bhawan press communique said the Governor’s office had received complaints about the seizure.

The Veer Kuer Singh Bus Stand here wore a deserted look today with harried passengers seen waiting for the arrival of buses braving the scorching sun. Reports from different parts of the state said even buses carrying marriage parties are not being spared. There are also reports of people advancing the marriage dates in view of the bus owners expressing their inability to ply buses due to fear of their vehicles being seized for the rally.

RJD secretary general Ram Kripal Yadav, however, has denied the charge saying the vehicles have been voluntarily given by the bus owners.
