New Delhi, November 6 : Medium paceman Tejinder Pal Singh ran havoc with his accurate bowling scalping five wickets as Railways took a firm grip over their Central Zone Ranji trophy cricket match against Vidarbha, who were dismissed for a paltry 89 in their first innings here on Monday.

Railways openers then gave their team an ideal foundation with a 102-run first wicket partnership in the hosts’ quest for a huge first innings total after Vidarbha elected to bat first.

Railways were 153 for two, a lead of 64 runs, at

stumpswith Abhay Sharma (batting 42) and Yere Goud (batting 1) at the crease.

Tejinder Pal Singh bowled 18.4 overs on the trot returning with the figures of 5-37 while Kulamani Parida had an excellent spell of 10-7-7-2.

Dharmani, Mongia dazzleJALANDHAR:
An unbeaten 330-run fourth wicket partnership between centurions Pankaj Dharmani and Dinesh Mongia put Punjab in the driving seat on the second day of the North Zone Ranji Trophy league match against Jammu and Kashmir here on Monday.

Mongia (176 not out) and Dharmani (148 not out) hit brilliant centuries in the mammoth stand and rescued Punjab from a precarious 36 for three to finish the day at 366 for three and take a comfortable 198-run first innings lead with seven wickets in hand. Jammu and Kashmir were all out for 168 runs.
