
PUNE, Dec 8: The development work in the 38 fringe villages merged within the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) limit got a fillip with the standing committee approving the expenditure for improving the road condition at eight villages.
Ramesh Bodke, standing committee chairman told media persons today that an amount of Rs 19.23 lakh was approved for widening and asphalting the road from Warje naka to the westerly bypass. Similar proposals submitted by the civic administration received the go-ahead including approving Rs 19.90 lakh for asphalting the road from Kopergaon to NDA.
Asphaltation work worth Rs 15.85 lakh at Rajrajeshwari Marg at Kondhwa-Khurd, approving Rs 19.91 lakh for asphalting the stretch from Shivne Shivnegand to Kondhwa Dhavade, approving Rs 14.27 lakh for widening the stretch between Vrindavannagar to Wadgaonsheri was decided upon.
