Got ’em on their feet
Nobody knows you when you are down and out… Local band Airwave swung back into action after ages, and boy, was it good to have them back. A tight show with an increased repertoire they had it all till Derek Julien happened. His guitar did the usual pyrotechnics as Sudhir (vocals) belted out some of Rock music’s all-time greats. From Layla to Cocaine, Eric Clapton was in full swing with some inputs from Dire Straits and The Beatles. Sanjay Joseph (on guitars) was little more subdued than usual but elegant. Darren banged away on the drums competently as the crowd swelled to record levels at Jaws, last Friday, which happened to be the fiftieth edition of Friday Night live, with the crowd stomping for more. And…nobody does It’s Probably Me better than Airwave — at least on the local circuit. Here’s hoping for more.
