JALANDHAR, Oct 01: Hundreds of activists of Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) today performed their traditional “Shastra puja” and marched in the old city on the occasion of Dussehra.

Health Minister Manoranjan Kalia among others participated in the puja ceremony held on the ground of Sain Dass School at Patel Chowk, from where the march started and culminated after going through the bazars of the old city.

RSS leaders Hans Raj Dhawan and Krishan Dhir led the march by the activists who were attired in their

traditional khakhi knickers and weilded lathis.

Similar Shastra Puja and march were held in Kapurthala town where it was launched from and concluded at Shalimar Gardens. It was led by RSS local chief Yagna Dutt.
