MUMBAI, Dec 30: Concerned by the erosion of values in politics, a group of leading activists of the Sangh parivar (Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh) have formed a new ideological platform — Pandit Deen Dayal Rashtriya Vichar Manch — to create public opinion in favour of value-based politics. The manch set up in the memory of Pandit Deen Dayal Rashtriya Upadhyaya, the founder leader of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, its ideological guru and author of the “integral humanism”, took shape at the meeting of this group held at Pune recently, said Arvind Shukla, its office secretary here today.

The Vichar Manch will dedicate itself to create public opinion in favour of valued-based politics by holding meetings, seminars, symposia, lectures and through publications. Dr Balasaheb Khadilkar, a senior RSS activist from Sangli is nominated the president of the manch while Madhukar Desai from Mumbai also an RSS activist and BJP leader, the general secretary. According to Dr Khadilkar and Desai, the present day politics was in a situation of transition where the ideology and idealism are pushed behind and “grabbing power by hook or crook” has become the main objective.
