NAIROBI, SEPT 27: Smarting from the crushing eight-wicket defeat against India that yet again exposed their weakness against spin yesterday, South Africa meet a confident Zimbabwe tomorrow, aware a second defeat will knock them out of the LG Cup quadrangular cricket tournament.

The formidable Proteas looked quite rusty in their first outing in three months as their batsmen floundered on a track that was exploited to the hilt by the Indian spinners led by left armer Sunil Joshi.

That scotched skipper Hansie Cronje’s hopes of making a winning start to their post-World Cup campaign and his team will be under pressure meeting their fearless African rivals.

Zimbabwe enter the game a buoyant lot. They have won their first match against Kenya and have beaten South Africa in the World Cup.

“Yes, we are under pressure, but that is nothing new. We are still a bit rusty and not really at home on spinning tracks. But tomorrow will be a different day,” Cronje said.

Zimbabwe, happy with the form of MurrayGoodwin and Andy Flower who have ht half-centuries against Kenya, are looking to enhance their stature in international cricket after laying the right foundation by almost clinching a last four berth in the May-June World Cup.
